My name is Stephen. I am a chocoholic.

Are you inordinately fond of chocolate? 
Yes, I have always liked chocolate. Doesn't everyone?

Chocolate. Incentive or reward? Or both? 

When did you know you were a chocoholic?  
I think you know you are a chocaholic when you start stashing bars in special hidy-holes. I used to own a shop called Pure Comfort, and I would have chocolate hidden on a high shelf. Around 3 o'clock if I was feeling a bit low I would make a long black coffee and nibble away at half a block of dark chocolate. When I thought this was getting a bit addictive I would trade to an 85% blend because it is a bit less tasty than 70%, but I would usually end up going straight back to the sweeter 70% blend the next time!

White, milk or dark?  
For years my preference was for a dark chocolate with roasted almonds, but unless you eat it solo, you end up fighting over the pieces with the most nuts! Definitely still a dark chocolate fan.

Describe your favourite chocolate in three words….
Tangy orange chocolate.

Tell us about your most memorable chocolate experience?
When i was a kid, there only seemed to be Cadbury’s milk chocolate for kids and Small's dark chocolate with roasted almonds for grown ups. We hated it when a fruit and nut block turned up as you had to pick out the sultanas. Yuck.

My most memorable chocolate experience is very recent …hiking the Overland Track in Tasmania. When you are carrying eight days worth of dried food, a small bar of salted dark chocolate is one of the hikers essential food groups!

Where is your favourite place to indulge your choc-habit?  
At the dining table.

Secretly solo or shared indulgence?  
Shared Indulgence.

Top choice-choc destination?  
I don't have to go far. It has to be Love Byron Bay Creperie and Chocolate Boutique!

Favourite product in the Love Byron Bay Chocolate range?  
The great thing about the Love Byron Bay chocolate range is getting to know the many countries where the bean originates. When your palate has an opportunity to mature through exposure to so many varieties, you become like a wine connoisseur, wanting only to consume the best.  My favourite Love Byron Bay chocolate is the semi-dried orange slices half dipped in Daintree dark chocolate, nibbled whilst sipping of long black coffee.
