Alison is a lover of good things. She has developed a taste for the best in life and now puts that passion into one of life’s greatest joys...chocolate. At Love Byron Bay crêperie and chocolate boutique Alison will source, create and share the best cocoa products from around the world.

Creativity has always been one of Alison’s key values and it is the business canvas that she chooses to ‘paint’ her creative visions upon. Her business degree, and history with national retailer Grace Bros and multi-national 3M, where she was awarded for innovation in strategic international marketing, gave her a solid grounding in the corporate world, and a platform from which to sail on her own adventures.

Alison spent some time travelling and researching innovative business models overseas, before making Paddington, Sydney her base for her first entrepreneurial venture in the mid 90’s. Thirst For Life, affectionately known to her clientele as The Water Shop, imported, retailed and distributed exclusive brands of adult soft drinks and premium mineral waters. Alison’s business filled a gap in the market, catering to an ever-growing demand for pure, life gifting drinks. Business boomed.

Early in 2000, Alison sold Thirst For Life and made a sea-change move to Byron Bay. She founded marketing consultancy Talent to Fly and for eight years inspired business to take flight on their own, with the support of her marketing prowess, ideas and growth strategies.

In 2010 Alison was head hunted by Duck Creek Macadamia’s and given the challenge to take the business from a farm gate operation into an international market place. Once again, business boomed, as did Alison’s appreciation for chocolate, which developed as she worked with a chocolatier on new flavours to compliment the humble Australian macadamia bush nut.

In 2012 Alison joined forces with local business owner Ed Ahern to develop a concept chocolate shop based in central Byron Bay. The result was Love Byron Bay crêperie and chocolate boutique.
